Electric Cello Protoypical Success
The prototype is done, and I’m not gonna lie, it’s pretty bad ass. I’m pleased with the results, at least for a first try. I wanted to see how putting frets on would go, and while they work, it never occurred to me how essential vibrato was to the overall sound of the cello until I was unable to use it. I’ve already gotten the ball rolling for the next version, which will use an ebony fingerboard and no frets. I learned a lot in the first run so more than likely the second attempt will be the one I use for performance.

I hope to hear how it sounds soon! Just use some distortions and play some metal! who cares about vibrato!!
Hope everything’s good for you!

Dude, just discovered your music on Pandora. Awesome.
About the cello - keep the frets! But if it messes with the vibrato, sink them in, and put a small line of clear polyurethane over them. It will keep the bad ass electric guitar look, without it messing with your fingers.
